Leland Kutay

Chief Strategy Officer

Leland Kutay is the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Kaulig Companies. He joined Kaulig Companies in 2022 and works across the various businesses and investments that make up Kaulig Companies. Leland works closely with the Kaulig Capital team to evaluate and source new opportunities as well as operate and execute on the strategic vision for current investments.

Prior to joining Kaulig Companies, Leland worked at Gridiron Capital, a middle-market Private Equity firm based in New Canaan, CT. During his time at Gridiron, he worked on the acquisition of Leaf Home as well as Foundation Wellness – both current Kaulig Companies investments. Leland was responsible for identifying, analyzing, and pursuing new investment opportunities as well as partnering with senior management to execute on growth initiatives and value creation plans.

Leland started his career at Barclays Capital as an Investment Banker in their Global Industrials Group. During his time at Barclays, Leland was responsible for financial analysis, research, and preparation of process materials for various clients and sponsors.

Leland graduated from The University of Richmond, Magna Cum Laude, with his BSBA in Business Administration, double concentrating in Finance and Economics. Leland received his MBA from Columbia Business School, graduating as a Second Year Fellow with Honors.

Leland enjoys international travel, golf, SCUBA diving, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
